Sweden visited museum

We´ve visited the Royal Armoury in Stockholm with pupils from grade six. The Armoury has a large collection of objects from the Swedish kings and queens from the 1500s onwards. It was very exciting but a little scary to see king Gustav II Adolf bloody shirts that he wore when he was killed at the battle of Lutzen. It felt like the madness of war came a little closer. We also took the opportunity to go for a walk in the old town of Stockholm and look for the example at the site of the Stockholm Bloodbath, 1520. An interesting day full of history!
