Exciting lecturers and partners in our project

We met Marcus Torgeby
an inspiring person, who made a Skype-conference with us. We have been reading his book, "Löparens hjärta" (The runners hart) this spring. Marcus is a person who decided to leave a normal life to live in the nature for four yeras when he was 20 years old. Thats because of his tough childhood with a sick mother and a feeling of exclusion. His life was running, but when he competed it allways went wrong.
Mark was very inspiring and open. He told about his own difficulties and how he has to find his way in life by adversity and successes.

Some of his important messages: It is ok to be afraid, accept it and then you can work on the fears.
Water the grass where you stand - life is as it is and is not always possible to change but develop and work on what you can and take care of what you have.
Obsessions and Eating Disorders - sometimes you have an idea that will get stuck, you know that it's wrong to do what you do. When you know it, you have to find his way - by finding that they themselves enjoy. It may be running, painting, music or loneliness more.
Finding their thing and not listen to others - it is important!
Marcus was great and happy and honest with everything and gave us hope and inspiration. Fantastic that Marcus wanted to talk to oss😄

We also met Anneli Pompe, another adventurer and inspired person

We have been reading her book, "Otroligt högt och extremt djupt" (Unbelievable high and extrem deep) and red her blog this spring.  We`ve discussed her book and the blog and went so happy when she wanted to make a Skype-conference with us. It was an exciting moment where we got some wise words of advice:
Be curious about life. Try new things. When you feel insecure and afraid of anything, so look at it with new eyes and discover and try.
Be kind to yourself.
Praise yourself and do not be your own biggest critic.
Control your thoughts to positive thinking and encourage yourself.
Dare to believe that you can and do not let anyone else tell you what you can or can not do. Anything is possible only you decide and set a goal.
Be kind to yourself and you will almost automatically kind to others and they in turn are kind to you.
Live simply and minimalistic.
Respect all life and nature.

European Spring Day in SOS-W!

For our friends from the kindergarten (near our school) we organised a board therapeutic              game titled "Friends from European fairy tales".

In the gym we set mega cubes and they were train stations in the game. On every cube were few printable copies of characters from fairy tales. Pupils created a train and to the rhythm of  Polish song “Jedzie pociąg z daleka” go on a trip around Europe. The “train” stoped at each  cube station and new passengers from fairy tales were invited to join the trip. We travelled as long as every child got his/her own illustration. Afterwards, children found good place to sit (in a circle), got crayons and coloured their  tale characters. When they finished they  put their coloured pictures face-down on the ground.  Then, one of the pupils threw a big dice and started the game (standard board game).  All children did funny activities (related to the pictures and read by teachers) following the board game instructions.
We spent a great time with our small friends!

Rapelling - therapeutic game

Rapelling means going down from a rock or an artificial clmbing wall by yourself - on a rope. It´s not falling. It looks cool from the ground but it is quite scary when you are on the wall and ready to go down on your own. It´s a big thing when you manage to do it.

We managed all - we tried first several times in the gym on a ladder, and today on a climbing wall. Everyone cheered, not just your best friends. It´s our favourite climbing activity now.
