As part of a project about Nazism our classes 9c, 10a and 10b went to the KZ Bergen-Belsen to visit the concentration camp memorial, where nearly 20.000 people were killed about 70 years ago.
We visited the memorial and documentation centre, where we learned under which cruel circumstances the people lived, suffered and were killed in the concentration camp. We saw original pictures and films from the liberation of the KZ by british soldiers.
Then we visited the ground, the memorial stone and former mass graves. We looked for the memorial to Anne Frank. At last we lit candles in a chapell and laid down flowers for the victims of Nazi crimes.
